 The Abbreviated IOP Process
How It Works
The abbreviated IOP consists of 6 group sessions and 8 individual therapy sessions. Further individual or group sessions are available, but are accomodated on an individual basis.

The group outline will cover both psycho educational topics in an ordered fashion related to substance abuse and will also provide a group therapy component.

The individual sessions will focus on client needs in terms of individualized treatment for substance abuse or dual diagnosis. Family involvement can take place during the individual sessions.

Group and individual sessions will be documented in terms of progress notes. Reporting to referral sources will be maintained by the individual therapist, although there are exceptions.

The client will also be referred to AA or NA and monitored in this regard by the individual therapist.
